IVT current sensor

Isabellenhütte CAN IVT current sensor with 1000A nominal current. It is a new old stock item. Note, this is the current only version! It cannot measure voltage and (thus) is not usable for the Zombiverter and other VCU solutions developed by Damien Maguire (EVbmw).

However in implementations where you need current measurement with high accuracy with CAN output this is a very nice sensor.

For example very usable as a CAN shunt with Lithium Balance nBMS.

Current measured is send over CAN by default on a 500 kbps bus. EVcreate has the 12-24V supply voltage, isolated model in 1000A nominal current version. It has one CAN port and on board CAN-termination.

Alternatively you can look into the LEM CAB300 (300A) or LEM CAB500 (500A) contactless current sensors that also directly output onto the CAN-BUS.
