Description
This is a new old stock Gigavac GV242MAB side mount contactor with normally open auxiliary contacts. It has a rating of 400+ A and max. rated voltage of 800VDC.
It has and internal economizer system and nominal coil voltage of both 12 and 24 VDC. This contactor has two coils. Both are used for pick-up, and then in approximately 75 milliseconds, one coil is electronically removed from the coil drive circuit. The remaining coil supplies low continu- ous hold power sufficient for the contactor to meet all of its specified performance specifications. This provides the lowest coil power possible without the use of PWM electronics that have been known to cause EMI emissions.
