Volkswagen MEB battery tester helper kit for iCharger X12

Description

Main component of this kit is a portable power supply solution for the iCharger X12. The block has on/off switch and an XT60 connector that goes into the iCharger X12 so it becomes a portable tester. It runs of two 9V batteries.

The full package comes assembled with 9V batteries inside that can one by one be charged via a micro USB connection and two premade cables for testing MEB battery modules. There one cable for 12s and another cable for 8s.

There also is a DIY kit version. Then you get the parts and the .stl for the enclosure and you need to 3D print and solder yourself to assemble the  block. This DIY kit version comes in two versions (1) without MEB cell tap cables and (2) with a 8s and 12s cell tap cable.

So there are three versions:

• Fully assembled: charge the 9V batteries when it arrives, plug in the cable you need and off you go
• DIY kit without MEB cables : Need for 3D printing, soldering. Get the MEB cables and two 9V batteries yourself.
• DIY kit with MEB cables : Need for 3D printing, soldering., An 8s and an 12s MEB cable is included and you need to get two 9V batteries yourself.

Of course this set can also be used for testing other modules up to 12s for modules that give access to the cell taps, you know the pinout and make the cable for it yourself.

The iCharger X12 is shown for demonstration purposes only and is not included.

Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT use the iCharger X12 for balancing MEB modules (but also applies to other modules) ad the balancing current is too strong / high and the cell tap traces and/or cell tap fuses inside the module will blow and brick your module.
